Anchored in the guitar strings and sensibilities of Jason Fowler, Anne Lindsay provides the fiddle melodies while Burke Carroll enhances the breadth of sound with pedal steel guitar and dobro. Country Road will take you to that place of beloning, the palce called home.

music.jpgTennessee Waltz: The song is said to be originally written by Jimmy Wilson, the upright bass player for Pee Wee King's Golden West Cowboys. A favourite song of her father's, Patti Page recorded it and in 1950, the song ran for 30 weeks with as #1 in the Billboard pop music chart. Over the decades Tennessee Waltz has been covered by artists such as Otis Redding, James Brown, Norah Jones, Lenard Cohen, Holly Cole and Anne Murray. 

music.jpgStill the One: You're Still the One is a song written by Canadian singer Shania Twain and her ex-husband Mutt Lange. It was the first country single from Shania's 1997 album Come On Over to be released to pop and international markets. The song won two Grammy's in 1999 for Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance.

music.jpgCountry Roads: Considered John Denver's most popular and beloved song world-wide, Take Me Home Country Roads was written by Denver, Taffy Nivert and Bill Danoff in 1970. The song has become an iconic symbol of West Virginia. For example it is the theme song and regularly performed at home football games at the West Virginia University, and was played at the funeral memoral for Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) in 2010.

music.jpgAlways on My Mind: Although this song is mostly associated with Willie Nelson, Always on Mind was written by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson. Covered by many artists, including Brenda Lee, Elvis Presley and John Wesley Ryles, it was Willie Nelson's version released in 1982 that picked up both the Grammy and Country Music Awards' Song of the Year.

music.jpgAshokan Farewell: Composed in 1982 by Jay Ungar, Ashokan farewell is written in the style of a Scottis lament and was recorded by the band Fiddle Fever (Ungar and his wife Molly Mason). It served as a goodnight waltz at the Ashokan Fiddle and Dance Camps that Ungar and Mason run at the Ashokan Field Campus of the State University of New York at New Paltz. The song has been used in two films by Ken Burns: The Civil War and Huey Long.
